West Indies sensationally defeated New Zealand
The West Indies have failed the last month: Phil Simmons’ team lost the ODI series with Bangladesh and India. Then, with a score of 1-4, the T20 series with the same India was lost. But the day before, Simmons’ team finally broke an unsuccessful stretch – the West Indies sensationally defeated New Zealand in the third match of the T20 series.
Before the beginning of the match, the New Zealand team was the obvious favorite, but Phil Simmons’ players beat New Zealand with a handicap of 8 wickets.
The West Indies and New Zealand T20 series are now over — the New Zealanders won it with a 2-1 score. After the meeting with New Zealand, Phil Simmons, the head coach of the West Indies, shared his thoughts.
“We lost another series. But we took the third match to our advantage, which is a good achievement for us. New Zealand is a very severe rival, so we can be happy with ourselves,” Phil Simmons stated.
Note that now the West Indies and New Zealand teams will have to hold a three-match ODI series.
