Turn is the way the batsman lands the grounds at the end of a wound, changes direction and prepares for the next one. Correct execution is for the batsman to turn towards the side of the field where the ball was played to evaluate another possible run.

Sometimes turn is used to describe the deflection of the ball after a serve (for example, 5 degrees after a bounce). It depends on the bowler giving the ball the spin.
