In the 2013 season, the Sunrisers Hyderabad had 20 players from the Deccan Chargers. Another 13 cricketers had to be bought at auction or found on the free agent market. Sunrisers Hyderabad: Home Stadium

The Telangana club welcomes opponents at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium. The stands of the complex can accommodate 55,000 spectators. In 2017, it hosted the opening match and the final of the IPL Indian Premier League. In the 2019 season, the final of the tournament took place in Hyderabad again. According to the last draw results, the Hyderabad Cricket Association received the prize for the best organization and preparation of the stadium.

Previously, the Sunrisers Hyderabad performed at the VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. This arena had fewer seats than the current arena and was therefore not well suited to host IPL Indian Premier League matches.

Sunrisers Hyderabad: IPL Performance History

Telangana has failed to make the playoffs only twice in eight seasons in the IPL. This happened in 2014 and 2015, when the Sunrisers Hyderabad was sixth in the standings. By far the most successful period in the club’s history was the 2016 season, when it won the championship gold medals. Interestingly, the Sunrisers Hyderabad initially looked bad in the group stage, losing two matches in a row. One of them was against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. Then the Orange and Black pulled themselves together and won seven of their eight matches. However, the end of the regular season, the team blurred, being only the third. In the final, the rival of the team from Hyderabad was the Royal Challengers Bangalore. The match turned out to be a fighting one, but the Sunrisers Hyderabad won with an advantage of eight runs. The best player of the meeting was David Warner.

Two years later, the Sunrisers Hyderabad again played in the title match. At the end of the regular season, the team was the second in the standings. On additional indicators, the club from Hyderbad bypassed the Chennai Super Kings. True, none of the teams could boast of stability during the season. The Sunrisers Hyderabad has won nine matches and lost five. The Orange and Black lost to the Chennai Super Kings at the start of the playoffs in a bitter struggle. The teams shared only two wickets. However, according to the rules of the Indian Premier League, the team had another chance. In the next meeting, the Kolkata Knight Riders were confidently defeated. The second attempt to beat the Chennai Super Kings was in the finals but also failed. This time the opponent won with a difference of eight wickets.
