Kane “Kiwi Kane” Williamson is a New Zealand professional cricketer. One of the best batsmen on the planet, combining the duties of captain of the New Zealand national team in all forms of the game, as well as the leadership of Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League.
Kane Williamson: career
The athlete was born on August 8, 1990, in Tauranga – a town located in the north of New Zealand. Being an active child, he started playing cricket at an early age. At the age of 16, he decided to become a professional athlete. Williamson has repeatedly expressed gratitude to his first coach Pacey Depina, who managed to motivate the New Zealander and teach all the tricks of the game.
At the age of 17, Kane made his debut for Northern Districts. The newcomer instantly received recognition and high appreciation at home. This allowed him to move to the English Yorkshire, with which the New Zealander became the national champion in 2013.
Since February 2015, Kane has been playing with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). As of January 2021, Williamson has scored 24 Test and 13 ODI centuries. The maximum result in Test is 251 and 148 in ODI. He is approaching a century in T20I.
