Roston Chase: a brief biography of a cricketer
Roston Lamar Chase is a professional cricketer for the Barbados and West Indies national team. He takes the position of a circular on the field but, if necessary, can cope with a batsman’s task. He was named the Player of the Year by the West Indies Players Association in 2017.
Roston Chase: career
He began his career immediately after studying at the Christian school Christ Church Parish in Barbados, where in high school, he went to professional matches from time to time. He took part in the Regional Four Day Competition 2010-11 at the age of 18. However, he disappeared from the field of vision until the 2012-13 season competition after his debut. He was officially listed as a representative of the Barbados team since 2011, where he entered on a permanent basis.
Chase completed his first first-class hundred in a home match against the Windward Islands in the 2014-15 season. This meeting formed the basis for the success of the season in the future, as a result of which the Barbados cricketer made 534 runs in eight matches. This achievement allowed him to become fourth in the local ranking and eighth overall. Chase remained motivated and in excellent condition for the following year, as evidenced by 136 points in the opening matches against the Leeward Islands at the start of the 2015-16 season.
The most productive year for Roston was 2018. As a result, the player from Barbados was named the best representative of the regional league and was awarded the Cricket West-Indies award. In addition, on the eve of the Caribbean Premier League 2018, information appeared that Chase entered the top 5 players who qualified for this tournament ahead of schedule.
The successful 2018 season for the cricketer culminated in a contract with the Cricket West Indies to compete in the following year for the national team.
Roston Chase: international career
Chase joined the West Indian team for the Test Series against India in 2016. The athlete’s debut at the international level took place on July 21, 2016. The player took the wickets five times and knocked out a hundred in the second match of the series, which made it possible to prevent the attack of the Indians.
After such a successful debut, Roston was automatically invited to the West Indies squad for the ODI series matches against Afghanistan in June 2017. The first appearance on the field in an ODI match is dated June 9. By January 2019, Chase had hit 8/60 over four innings in the first leg of the home Test of the series against England.
The Cricket West Indies ranked the Barbadian among the top ten players to represent the national team in the Cricket World Cup 2019 in May 2019. Unfortunately, playing at the world championship proved to be an overwhelming task for the team, which finished one of the last on the group stage. The circular itself also proved to be unsuccessful.
Roston then appeared in the June 2020 squad for the Test against England squad. The series was originally scheduled for May 2020, but the COVID pandemic caused the meetings to be postponed to July of the same year.

The Barbadian has already taken place in his homeland as a top-level player. He is famous, popular and respected by his more experienced colleagues. The player positively perceives all the joys of life and endures hardships in the same way. This is evidenced by his social networks, where Chase regularly posts funny photos, memes and words of support, mixed with congratulations.
Not married, no children. He refuses alcohol and cigarettes and considers family values paramount. He prefers to spend his free time playing computer games.
