The Board of Control for Cricket in India has already confirmed the fact of Rahul’s illness. BCCI representatives noted that Rahul would return to the team only after testing negative for COVID-19.
“The head coach of the India national team, Rahul Dravid, has indeed tested positive for coronavirus. Now the specialist is under the supervision of doctors. He has almost no symptoms. He will return to the team immediately after testing negative for coronavirus,” the BCCI said in an official statement.
Recall that the rest of the team arrived in the UAE on August 23. The India national team will have to spend the first few days without Dravid. India will play its first match in the 2022 Asia Cup on the 28th — Pakistan will be the opponent.
