New Zealand won the second match of the ODI series against the West Indies
The West Indies national team, under the leadership of Phil Simmons, is having difficult times. However, Simmons insists that the West Indies will show their maximum at the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia. The ODI series between the West Indies and New Zealand teams began with a sensational victory for Pooran and the squad. However, Stead’s players did not let the opponent come off — New Zealand won the second match of the ODI series against the West Indies.
After the match, Tom Latham, who was the captain of the New Zealand national team in the second match of the series, shared his emotions.
“The West Indies are not an easy opponent. Yes, they are not in the best shape right now, but the matches show that the West Indies are ready to fight. We are glad that we managed to fulfill the game plan and even the score in the series. Now we need to prepare for the third meeting of the series,” Tom stated.
The West Indies and New Zealand teams will have to play another ODI match. It will be held on August 21.
