England beat Pakistan in the first match of the T20 series

One of the main tasks of the Pakistan national team at the recently concluded 2022 Asia Cup was to perform better than India. The Pakistanis coped with this task — India failed the tournament without even reaching the final. But Babar Azam and the squad failed to earn the title, because in the final the Pakistani team sensationally lost to Sri Lanka. And the day before, Mushtaq’s players once again disappointed their fans — England beat Pakistan in the first match of the T20 series.

The England national team failed its last series in the shortest format of the game — at the end of July, the British in the T20 format lost to South Africa with a score of 1-2, although they led during the series. However, the team from Albion approached the duel with Pakistan in a good mood because earlier England managed to cope with the same South African team in a test format.

The first match of the series between Pakistan and England in the T20 format ended with the triumph of Matthew Mott’s team with a handicap of 6 wickets.

Pakistan and England will have to play six more matches in the T20 format.
