Paddle sweep
Paddle sweep is a cricket term for a kind of sweep. At its core, the paddle sweep is derived from the sweep and describes a perfectly executed sweep, i.e. A full-range kick in which the ball is thrown towards the side by a stationary or near-stationary bat extended horizontally towards the bowler, creating the ideal angle to bounce.
Trying to make the sweep in full amplitude is a very risky undertaking, as there is a possibility of losing balance.
