Leading Edge

Leading Edge – a kind of batsman’s strike, in which he hits the ball flying at him with the front edge of the bat. In this regard, the projectile is able to change the trajectory of its flight.

Since the ball’s direction is almost impossible to predict after hitting, it can become easy prey for a bowler or a spectacular skier (jump capture) for a fielder.
