The team went to the Eastern Colonies to face off in a cricket match with Victoria and South Australia. So, the first team of South Australia came to the new stadium in 1899. But for the first time, the Western Warriors were able to win on the home court only in 1906, when the same rivals arrived in Western Australia again.
Western Australia cricket team played first-class matches with the best teams for a long time, but they were allowed to join the Sheffield Shield only in the 1947-1948 season. Since the admission, the team from the West ranks third in the number of taking the main title, behind NSW and Victoria. And in the one-day cup, Wester Warriors leads the ranking of trophy holders.
