Ricky Ponting stated that Dinesh Karthik and Rishabh Pant can play in the same line-up

Dinesh and Rishabh are players of approximately the same functionality, so their joint use on the field seems like they need to be more advanced. However, Ricky Ponting noted that Karthik and Pant are such great players that they can play in the same team.

“I think India will show its best cricket if Dinesh and Rishabh play at the same time. I don’t care that they are very similar — I am convinced their skill is enough to play together,” said Ricky Ponting.
