Ravi Shastri believes that the ODI format should be changed
Ravi Shastri is an experienced and highly respected specialist whose opinion is listened to. The day before, the former head coach of the India national team shared his opinion on the further development of one of the formats with a white ball. Ravi Shastri believes that the ODI format should be changed to remain in demand on the world stage.
“For one-day cricket to survive, I think it needs to be cut. I remember there used to be a game with 60 overs, then it was reduced to 50. I think it’s time to go through another reduction now,” Ravi Shastri said.
Ravi Shastri also said that the T20 format is the most exciting and intense for him. The specialist correctly noted that the Twenty20 format looks organically both at the club level and internationally.
A professional, however, noted that the test format should remain the basis — the most serious attention should be focused on it.
