Odds match

To be honest, there is almost no explanation for sports term which is called Odds match. Let’s assume that such a phrase denoted a match when one of the teams released additional players on the field (that is, there was a moment when one club had a numerical advantage). But on the other hand, reserve players are a rarity for cricket. Of course, they are present at the match (there are different numbers of them in each format), but the reserve players only come out when another player is injured and cannot continue the match. It is not allowed just replace the main team.
