Bowled out (all out)

Sometimes the phrase “bowled out” is used incorrectly instead of “bowled.” This isn’t actually the case. When 10 of the 11 players on the kicking team are taken off the field, it’s referred to as “bowled out” or “all out.”

Bowled Out (all out): The Basic Meaning

In cricket, a team can never be short on players. Few fans use the phrase “all out,” but “bowled out” is a better choice here. Of course, if the other player makes a good shot, he can score more points and move up in the game.
