Trisha Chetty has ended her professional career

The day before, sad news came from the camp of the South Africa women’s national team: Trisha Chetty has ended her professional career. The girl announced her retirement, calling the cause a chronic back injury. Thus, the 21-year career of the South Africa national team’s representative has ended.

Recall that Trisha Chetty began her career in the South Africa national team in January 2007 — then, the girl was only 18 years old. Chetti has become one of the main stars of her national team, but any good story comes to an end.

Trisha herself commented on her decision, thanking her partners and loved ones.

“I still remember the incredible feeling I experienced in 2007 when I first put on a green and gold uniform. For the last 16 years, it has been an honor for me to represent my country, and this feeling has never left me — every time I put on a South African uniform, I feel an incredible responsibility and honor. I thank everyone who has been with me over the past years,” said Trisha Chetty.
