The Hundred 2026
The Hundred 2026 got underway in late July, marking the sixth season of the popular cricket tournament featuring both men’s and women’s teams. The competition began on 21 July and will run until 16 August. Eight clubs are battling it out for the championship titles, with a total of 68 matches on the schedule. Let us take a closer look at the fixtures, the participating teams, and the players who are particularly worth watching.
How The Hundred 2026 Works
Matches are being played at eight venues across England and Wales, including Lord’s, the Kia Oval, Edgbaston, Headingley and Sophia Gardens. Eight men’s and eight women’s teams compete alongside one another throughout the tournament. Each side faces 100 balls per innings. Once the group stage is over, the team that finishes top of the table advances directly to the final, while the second- and third-placed teams face off in the Eliminator.
It is also worth noting that the 2026 season is the first in which operational control of the franchises has passed to the TeamCos, joint ventures formed by investors and the owners of the host venues.
The new partners include owners of IPL franchises, US investment firms, and technology entrepreneurs. However, the ECB has retained control of the competition itself, including its playing rules and overall duration.
Sky Sports will broadcast all 68 matches of The Hundred 2026 live. News, match reports, highlights, and the best moments from the tournament will also be available across Sky’s platforms. In addition, BBC Sounds will provide live audio coverage of every match. Highlights will be available on BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website, while 16 matches will also be shown live on BBC TV.
The Hundred 2026: July Fixtures
The tournament has been underway since 21 July, so we will not include matches that have already been played. Below is the schedule for the remaining July fixtures, including the venues and start times for both the women’s and men’s matches.

The Hundred 2026: August Fixtures
A total of 40 matches will be played in The Hundred 2026 during August: 20 in the men’s competition and 20 in the women’s tournament. The group stage will conclude on 12 August, the Eliminator will take place on 14 August, and both finals are scheduled for 16 August.

Unlike this season, all of last year’s matches were played in August, with the 2025 tournament running from 5 to 31 August. Oval Invincibles, now known as MI London, won the men’s title for the third year running, while Northern Superchargers, now SunRisers Leeds, came out on top in the women’s competition.
Players to Watch
Several players capable of making a major difference to their teams deserve particular attention during The Hundred 2026. Naturally, the squads feature both established cricket stars and promising young players who could make a real name for themselves this season.
In the men’s competition, I recommend keeping a close eye on Jos Buttler and Heinrich Klaasen of Manchester Super Giants, Jofra Archer of Southern Brave, as well as Rashid Khan and Sam Curran of MI London. Another exciting player to watch is London Spirit’s Liam Livingstone.
In the women’s competition, the standout names include Ellyse Perry of Birmingham Phoenix, Annabel Sutherland of SunRisers Leeds and Nat Sciver-Brunt of Trent Rockets. Southern Brave’s Lauren Bell is another player worth watching: she finished last season as the tournament’s leading wicket-taker.
