Shelley Nitschke has been appointed head coach of the Australia women's national cricket team

On Tuesday, the Cricket Council of Australia officially announced: Shelley Nitschke has been appointed head coach of the Australia women’s national cricket team. It is reported that the contract with the specialist was concluded for 4 years.

Recall that Shelley was appointed temporary coach of the Australia national team in May. Then Matthew Mott, who went to conquer the Foggy Albion, left the coaching bridge of the Australia national team.

Nitschke has already succeeded as the Australia national team coach — the Australian team led by Shelley won the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

Experts report that Shelley Nitschke has great authority among the Australia women’s national team players. It’s understandable — Shelley has reached great heights as a player: in 2010, Nitschke was named the player of the year in women’s cricket; Nitschke also received four Belinda Clark Awards in a row.

Moreover, Shelley has solid coaching experience because Nitschke has been working in the coaching staff of different teams for quite a long time.
