Pat Cummins will miss the IPL 2023

Every year the schedule of cricket tournaments becomes more intense and dense. In this regard, many players are forced to abandon some events in order to save their strength for other matches. In the near future, the Australia national team will have to hold a lot of games, and because of this, one of the leaders of the Australia national team, Pat Cummins will miss the IPL 2023.

Recall that in the 2022 season, Cummins represented the interests of the Indian Premier Cricket League club Kolkata Knight Riders.

Pat explained his decision to skip the next IPL game by saying that he wants to focus on playing as part of the Australia national team in the ODI format.

“There are a lot of ODI matches ahead, and then the World Cup will be held in this format. If I decided to play in the Indian Premier Cricket League season, I wouldn’t have a break at all. Therefore, I have decided to abandon the IPL 2023,” said Pat Cummins.

Recall that the ODI World Cup will be held in September-October 2023 in India.
