Abu Dhabi T10 League season begins from November 7 with new management
The famous tournament has changed owners. And the most state-owned one at that. The local government, through its entity Abu Dhabi Cricket & Sports Hub (ADCSH), has gained control of the commercial rights and an ownership stake, which is now considered the majority shareholder. Abu Dhabi T10 League season begins from November 7 with new management. From now on, the competition becomes a national sporting treasure with all the attendant advantages such as stability, budget, and long-term plans.
Abu Dhabi T10 League season begins from November 7 with new management: first results
ADCSH is a division of the local government, backed by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) and the UAE Cricket Board (ECB). The latter, by the way, expressed full support for the new structure. The previous owners, T Ten Sports Management, have passed away, and cricket tournament will now be managed by people responsible for the development of sports throughout the country.
Abu Dhabi T10 League season begins from November 7 with new management. The place is the same – Zayed Cricket Stadium. Eight teams, the same ten overs, the same frantic dynamics. Only now, as ADCSH Chairman and ADSC Secretary General His Excellency Aref Al Awani put it, this isn’t just an event, but a strategic evolution.
T10 is a unique event. Many skeptics expressed deep doubts even at the start (the tournament appeared in 2017). However, the public appreciated it. It’s short and spectacular, the stars don’t have time to get tired, and the sponsors get a good advertising package. Now, after a management change, the organizers promise to maintain the same high-intensity content: international stars and a dynamic television product adapted to a modern global audience.
At the same time, it must be acknowledged: any change of ownership is risky. New managers may overdo it, sponsors may become wary, and teams may wonder whether they’ll stay in the game. So far, judging by the statements, this hasn’t happened. On the contrary, the authorities are betting on the long term. ADCSH will own and manage this as a long-term national sports asset.

Abu Dhabi T10 League season begins from November 7 with new management: changes
Direct differences are unlikely to be noticed at first. The same eight franchises, the same dates (14 matchdays), the same stadium. However, behind the scenes, things are serious. Firstly, the process of attracting team owners will now take place through an official tender – Invitation to Tender. The organizers invite potential investment groups to participate. The conditions will be disclosed separately. Secondly, government support is being brought in—this includes funding for infrastructure, assistance with promotion, and guarantees for television broadcasters.
Just recently, in the 2025 season, the UAE Bulls team became champions. They defeated the Aspin Stallions in the final. And there’s something to remember: Tim David produced an incredible performance – 98 runs without losing a wicket from just 30 deliveries. Almost a century in two and a half overs! He also became the tournament’s top scorer – 393 runs in 10 matches at a fantastic strike rate of 263.75 strikes per hundred balls. His teammate Phil Salt finished second with 256 runs.
Mr. Al Awani himself emphasized that this is a new starting point for the tournament, which in a short time has already proven its global significance and gained a growing fan base in Abu Dhabi. And now these fans can count on their favorite tournament to continue to grow.
Commenting on the transition, ECB Vice Chairman Khalid Al Zarooni noted that their board fully supports the new structure. He added, ” The tournament proposal remains unchanged.” This means viewers will see the same stars, the same intensity and the same exciting product.
The exact start date of the tender process and which groups will receive invitations have not yet been announced. But it’s already clear that interest in the tournament is high. After all, T10 isn’t just cricket; it’s a show where everything is decided in a matter of minutes. And when government agencies are behind such a show, it has a chance to live a long life.
Abu Dhabi T10 League season begins from November 7 with new management. Will this make the tournament more spectacular? Most likely, yes – simply because the financial base will be stronger, meaning they’ll be able to invite even more exciting players. But as always, we’ll find out for sure in the future.
