Sourav Ganguly commented on his resignation from the post of BCCI President

It became known that Sourav Ganguly is terminating his powers as President of the Indian Cricket Council. Roger Binny took Surav’s place, and the previous President was forced to look for a new role. The day before, Sourav Ganguly commented on his resignation from the post of BCCI President.

The functionary noted that he is trying to remain optimistic. Sourav stated that he leaves his high post in a good mood, with a sense of accomplishment. Ganguly believes that he managed to give BCCI the maximum.

I think I was a good BCCI President. I have plans, and I’m going to implement them — I’m optimistic about the future. I have to go through new challenges, and this pleases me. Roger Binny is a good specialist. I know him. I am sure that he can cope with the responsible role,” said Surav Ganguli.

Roger Binny will officially lead the BCCI on October 18 at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders in Mumbai. Roger is the only candidate, so there will be no election.
